a foodie weekend

We love food. Period. We had a wonderful time eating at the Mexican place Restaurant Morelia with my Mummsie and sister SiSi. Such savory, authentic food, and SO much of it. We also ate at The Pie, one of our all-time favs. The best pizza to order is the Wise Guy. Get it. You won't regret it. And this very last picture is of Miss Baby Girl chillin, drinking her bottle. What a silly girl.

P.S. We are always looking for yummy, new restaurants. If you have a favorite in the Salt Lake/Provo area, please let me know!

  1. Hey Ashley, we love both of those places. Matt and I started a blog a while back call slccheapeats.blogspot.com. Unfortunately we haven't updated it for a long time because we haven't been as adventurous with food because of all the morning sickness. Hopefully we'll get back to it soon, but you can check out some of our favorites that are on there right now. BTW, your little girl is just darling. Definitely a Johnson!

  2. Baby Girl - such a gangsta.

You're really making me miss Utah. We're COMPLETELY without any good food here in the boonies of Oregon. Truly; nothing except pizza.

Recommendation: La Dolce Vita in Provo. Awesome Italian food. Must get the Pasta a Gratte. Enjoy everything a little extra for me!

  3. Thank you for the recommendations! We will try La Dolce Vita, Kate, and check out your blog, Jenny! (And she is totally a Johnson - a little mini Jett!)

  5. I like Restaurant Morelia, but if you like Mexican food, you must try the original Red Iguana restaurant downtown. It's been featured on the Food Network several times for a ton of good reasons: all their menu items! Ask for the mole sampler first thing when you get there so you have a better idea of what to order. These are not your typical peanut/chili/chocolate moles. They have that, but they have almost a dozen others that are really just incredibly complex and amazing enchilada sauces.

I also like Spicy Corea in Provo, but you definitely have to like Korean food to go there. I liked their bulgogi, japchae, and hot stone bowl bibimbap.

We also love The Pie! Their buffalo ranch pizza is outstanding.
