15 years

Do you know what I love about these girls?...

...15 years later and nothing has changed! Seriously, these girls have been my friends since junior high and every time we hang out it's like we're still 14. And now we have something crazy like 20 kids between the seven of us, who of course will all get married so we can be family. I love you guys so much! (And you, too, Linds. I'm so sad you couldn't come.)

Okay, these two on the left are allowed to get married!

And check out these two! I was going to say, "Who taught them this ridiculousness?" but I'm an idiot; we all bought selfie sticks on their trip out to San Francisco. Dang it, we are those people.

lake powell 2.0

Another year of dental school down, another year of celebrating at Lake Powell! The highlight of Johnny's trip was flying right seat in his dream airplane, and mine was sleeping for 18 hours a day. In case you didn't understand, I mean literally 18 hours a day. Breakfast, nap, lunch, nap, play, dinner, bed. It was the most glorious week of my life. Thank you, Amber for another great trip!

girls weekend!

I have the best group of gal pals. We have been the best of friends since junior high and are now arranging the marriages of our children so we can all be related. During one of our group texts I asked them to come to SF and seriously ten minutes later plane tickets were bought!!! We really missed Allie, who just had an adorable baby and couldn't come, but I'm totally down with doing this again...hint, hint! We stayed up until 5 am every morning talking like we were 16 again and it was awesome, until my kids woke up at 7 am. I'm in my late 20s but I still think I'm 21, that is until I hang out with 21-year-olds (or act like I'm 21) and then I'm like, "Oh yeah, I'm almost 30."

sweet love

^^ My mom came to town and took the girls grocery shopping, and the loot they brought back exemplified everything a grandma is about. It's like she bought everything from those end-of-aisle displays with holiday stuff and junk food...and we wouldn't have it any other way! ^^

^^ The girls were invited to a kid's Valentine party to pass out their mail. Honestly, passing out cards in school was the most anticipated day of the year for me other than Christmas. I still remember in Kindergarten picking out my best Little Mermaid Valentine for Dylan Ainsworth (Carly, did you know that?!). It's like you could judge your relationship with someone by the size of your Valentine. Those boxes only came with like three or four big ones so you reserved those for ones for best friends and crushes. Anyone?! ^^

^^ Leftover crepes for breakfast--I only made about 200 the previous day for a Valentine Crepe party. ^^

^^ And the perfect way to end the day! ^^

over the hump

We're halfway through dental school and we have a party to prove it! UOP throws a big Over the Hump party every year for all of the second year students and we had the best time dressing up and going out without kids!

playdates around the city

^^ Here are just a few photos of the good time this city shows us, starting with ballet class with all of Munchkin's friends. ^^

^^ On our weekly donut walk ^^

^^ My favorite paintings in Legion of Honor because they remind me so much of my girls right down to the attitude. ^^

^^ I didn't think Pipsqueak could have an opinion, but apparently she needed to see the gorillas. And also dress herself. ^^
