In Memory of My Dad

Today is the five-year anniversary of my dad's death. Wow, five years. It seems like such a long time ago, and yet, it still feels like it happened just yesterday.

My dad, Kash, was the best dad in the world. I know most kids say that about their dads, but really, there aren't many who can beat mine. He was so smart, always begging to my calculus homework for me; extremely athletic, teaching all of us kids to water ski, wakeboard, and snow ski like the pros; and he was an incredibly spiritual man, a convert to the church and a great example to others.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has been there to let me cry on their shoulder, give me a hug, for the beautiful letters over the years, or just getting me out of the house to do something fun when I was having a bad day. I love you all, you can't understand how grateful I am for you. And dad, if you're listening, I love you too.

  4. I didn't really know your Dad very well, but I remember going boating with your family once and he really did seem like such a cool Dad. He kept doing backflips off the boat and trying to get all of us to join in! I can't imagine how hard this is for you still, but it sounds like you really have taken it as best you can.

  5. Ash,
I think about your dad and your family all the time. I am here to tell everyone that Kash was the greatest dad. I remember coming over all the time and he would be there at your side helping you with homework or just joking with all the kids. I have always been envious of your family...your family has always been such a happy family! You dad is proud of all of you and I am sad that I don't get to see you guys very often!
    Much love,
    Mindy
