I grew up calling these Popeye Pancakes but nobody ever knew what I was talking about. It took me forever to figure out the rest of the world calls them German Pancakes, and they're probably my favorite breakfast ever. We had them this weekend and they made my day :)
German/Popeye Pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
6 TB butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Mix eggs in blender. Add flour, milk, and salt.
Melt butter and pour into 9x13 pan.
Add egg mixture to pan and cook 13-15 min.
love these!! i grew up calling them Puff Pancakes, and had the same problem figuring out what they are really called. haha. love it
ReplyDeleteI think the Petersons and the Johnsons were the only ones that called them Popeye Pancakes, and to this day...I still do! That's all I've ever known them as...they are the best!!!
