20 days!
I'm so excited, but I've been having the worst anxiety.
I keep stressing out that my water is going to break on TRAX (wouldn't that be lovely?).
Or that I'll have this baby on the way to the hospital (don't say it won't happen; it just did like three days ago on I-215).
And every other crazy scenario I can think of.
Please, someone just tell me everything is going to be alright!

ReplyDeletei had lily at 37 weeks... any day now, just saying! i had nightmares about my water breaking in public places too! luckily it was in the middle of the night or it would have been pretty embarrassing! good luck!!
ReplyDeleteSo I looked up that story about the woman having a baby on the 215. First of all: crazy! Second of all: it was her second baby. HIGHLY unlikely it would happen with a first baby, since you'll probably be in labor for quite a while. Your body has never done this before, and in this case, that's a good thing. I was PUSHING for 2 hours, and that's not counting the time I was already contracting regularly before that. I firmly believe you'll have plenty of time to get to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteAs for water breaking in public, it could happen, but your water may not even break on its own. It's actually more likely it will have to be broken for you at the hospital.
And even if all goes wrong, you'll do great. Far less capable people than you have done this for millions of years. You're an all star! I'm excited to see your little bundle.
